Marketing plans for furnace companies start at $2,998 a month and websites at $3,500, both at the published prices of our parent, HVAC.Agency. Standalone consulting work, such as a replacement margin review or a repair-or-replace process, is scoped and quoted in writing because its size depends on your company. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and Canadian clients add the GST/HST of their province (in Quebec, GST and QST). Full details are on HVAC.Agency's pricing page.

Consulting projects: quoted in writing

The five consulting services on our services page are priced per engagement. What drives the price:

  • Data volume. Reviewing 20 jobs from one crew is smaller than reviewing 60 jobs across four crews and two branches.
  • Number of job types. A company selling gas furnaces only is simpler to cost than one selling gas, dual-fuel, heat pumps and oil.
  • Rollout support. A sales process with a live trial and follow-up calls takes longer than a design-only engagement.
  • Provinces covered. Positioning work across several provinces needs a separate analysis for each.

You receive a written scope and price before anything starts.

How to choose

  1. If your margins are unclear, start with a consulting project, not a marketing plan. More demand on thin margins makes the problem bigger.
  2. If margins are healthy but the phone is quiet, the Starter or Growth plan is the usual starting point.
  3. If you run several crews or locations and want monthly strategy time, Elite combines marketing with ongoing strategy calls.
  4. If your website is the weak point, a website package can come first, with a plan added later.

A worked budgeting example

Suppose a replacement earns you $2,200 after all direct costs and the overhead share from a margin review. On the Growth plan at $4,498 a month plus 5% GST in BC or Alberta, about $4,723, you would need roughly two to three extra replacements a month from the marketing to cover its cost, before counting care-plan sign-ups and repair work. If your margin per job is closer to $900, you'd need five or more, and the margin problem should be fixed first. This is arithmetic to help you decide, not a forecast of results.

What you don't pay for

Consulting engagements don't include the cost of carrying out changes inside your company. If the margin review recommends a site-condition surcharge, your office updates the price book. If the sales process calls for a printed option sheet, you print it. We design, measure and advise; your team runs the business. That keeps our fees tied to thinking and planning rather than open-ended hours.

Risk reversal

New clients can start with a 7-day free trial: a digital marketing audit, website performance check, SEO analysis and competitor benchmarking, with no credit card and no lock-in. Any other terms are set out in writing in your proposal. Questions about contracts and ownership are answered on our FAQ page, and you can ask about anything else through the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a margin review cost?

It's quoted in writing once we know how many jobs, crews and job types are involved. You'll see the price and scope before any work begins.

Is there a contract?

Marketing plans come with no lock-in. Consulting projects have a written scope and fixed milestones, agreed before work starts.

What does the free trial include?

For seven days, at no charge and without a credit card, we audit your digital marketing, check how your website performs, analyse your SEO and benchmark you against local competitors.

Do prices include GST or HST?

No. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the tax follows your province: 5% GST in the West and the territories, 13% to 15% HST in Ontario and Atlantic Canada, or GST and QST in Quebec.

Are there setup fees or other charges?

Anything beyond the published plan price would be stated in your written proposal. You see every cost before you agree to anything.
