Keep furnace replacements profitable as heating changes

About FurnaceConsulting.ca

FurnaceConsulting.ca is a Canadian business and marketing consulting service for furnace-led HVAC companies, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group, headquartered in Vancouver and led by Ali Sedighi, MBA. We advise on the business; we never install or repair equipment.

Written by Ali Sedighi, MBALast updated:

FurnaceConsulting.ca exists because furnace companies are facing a business-model problem, not just a marketing one. Gas furnace replacement built many of Canada's heating companies, and it is now under pressure from heat-pump programs, homeowners comparing three kinds of quote, and a compressed winter calendar. We help owners make the business decisions that follow: what to charge, how to sell, how to build recurring revenue, how to staff the season and what to lead with in their province.

Who we are

FurnaceConsulting.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. At the centre of the group is Sedighi.ca, Ali's own consulting firm for growth, marketing and technology, which counts HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca among the brands it operates. SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, is the group's Canadian firm for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, and Ali founded it and serves as its Founder & Managing Partner.

Within that group, HVAC.Agency is our parent: it runs the marketing plans and websites listed on our pricing page. FurnaceConsulting.ca is the furnace-specific consulting service that sits in front of that work.

What we are not

We are a digital marketing and business consulting service for heating companies. We are not an HVAC contractor, and we don't install, repair, service or inspect furnaces or any other equipment. Our work is business and marketing advice only; it never includes engineering, mechanical design, inspection or code-compliance services. When a question touches sizing, venting, safety or permits, the answer comes from your licensed staff, the manufacturer and your provincial regulator. Our areas pages link to those regulators so you know who to ask.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi earned an MBA in Technology Management, and his 17+ years in the field go back to 2007, the year he started ONE.ir as a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Since then he has started Conv.ca, which focuses on conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca, and he heads SAZ.ca as its Founder & Managing Partner. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai and has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, RomaHeating.ca, CanroHeat.ca, HeatLand.ca and BCWide.ca. That heating-industry history is why the advice here starts from job economics rather than marketing slogans.

How we work

Numbers before opinions

Every engagement starts with your own records: invoices, equipment costs, timesheets, care-plan lists. We'd rather spend a week rebuilding twenty job costs than give you an opinion about pricing.

One decision at a time

Owners rarely fail from lack of ideas. They stall because ten changes start at once and none can be measured. We agree one change, how it will be measured and when we'll look at the result.

Written scope and price

Consulting work is scoped and quoted in writing before it begins. Marketing plans follow the published HVAC.Agency prices. Nothing is billed that wasn't agreed.

Built to work anywhere

We work with companies in every province and territory, meeting in person or by video call and keeping in touch by phone, text and email. The methods work the same either way.

Honest about fit

If your problem is technical, legal or financial rather than commercial, we'll say so and suggest the right kind of professional. Exit and succession questions go to the group's separate advisory work through Sedighi.ca.

Our positioning, in one sentence

We sell advice and marketing to Canadian furnace and heating companies, and we leave every install, repair and service call to the licensed contractors we work for.

Why a furnace-specific service

General HVAC consulting tends to treat furnaces as one product among many. For a company that earns most of its money replacing furnaces, that misses the point. Its risks are specific: a replacement price war in a gas-heavy city, a rebate that suddenly favours a competitor's system, a cold snap that exposes thin crew capacity, a care plan too small to protect the customer list. Focusing on that one business model lets us bring sharper questions to the first conversation and skip the generic advice.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our evidence comes from heating companies. CanroHeat.ca achieved 250% lead growth, and BCWide.ca tripled its leads in 90 days. More detail, and what each case means for a furnace company, is on the results page. To talk through your situation, see the contact page.

Frequently asked questions

Who will we actually work with?

Ali Sedighi leads every engagement. We don't list a team of named consultants, and we won't pretend to have people we don't.

Are you an HVAC contractor?

No. FurnaceConsulting.ca is a consulting and marketing service. We don't install, repair, service or inspect any heating equipment, and we don't give technical, code or safety advice.

How is this different from HVAC.Agency?

HVAC.Agency is our parent marketing agency, which runs websites, SEO and ads for heating companies. FurnaceConsulting.ca focuses on the furnace business model behind the marketing: margins, sales process, care plans, capacity and positioning.

Where are you based?

Vancouver, British Columbia. We work with furnace companies across Canada, in person or by video call as well as by phone, text and email.
